Your history. Core values. Accomplishments. Nothing is better than a good name, but the next generation cares about where you are HEADED more than where you HAVE BEEN. The next gen honors what happened in 1942, but will give their lives for what will happen in 2042. ‘Heritage’ is honored, but ‘future’ brings engagement.
So what that means is there needs to be less “let me tell you what we are all about here...” conversations and more “here is the dream for the future...” convo’s.
